Casa da Cultura Funaná restaurant in Cape Verde offers not only tasty food and a thriving atmosphere, but a collection of artefacts, too, as a unique museum actually lives inside this popular eating and drinking spot.

Funaná is the most typical restaurant of the island, awarded in 1994 under the label “living museum”.

Here you will discover the history and traditions of the islands through reproductions of emblematic houses, places and sculptures.

During the guided tours, you will discover the Cape Verdeans in their daily life occupations: working the land, grinding with a pestle, at the mill, etc.

The visit includes a tasting ofaguardientes, liqueurs or fidjós (fritters) with honey or sugar

For an exciting night out in Cape Verde, check out Funana Casa da Cultura’s ‘Crazy Thursdays’ – a night filled with party music for you to dance the night away to, starting at 11 pm and running through into the early hours of 1 am. Even better, upon arrival visitors receive a welcome drink to enjoy.

Adoramos, muito boa receção. Foi realmente uma noite atípica para nós, ficamos a conhecer um pouco da gastronomia, danças, música e cultura de Cabo Verde. Recomendo para sair da monotonia dos Hotéis. Obrigado Sra Milu tudo 5 estrelas.
